Location: Thorne Way, Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Three Legged Cross, Dorset, BH21 6FB
Please note: Avon Material Supplies will be relocating within the next 9 months to Arena Way, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 3BW.
Salary: £14.00 per hour (£30,940 per annum)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Contracted Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Overtime: Available by mutual agreement and paid at the standard hourly rate
About Avon Material Supplies
Avon Material Supplies (AMS) specialises in supplying aggregates, concrete, and waste management services to both commercial and private customers across Dorset and the surrounding areas.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our friendly and busy sales team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, working in a fast-paced environment, and building positive relationships with customers.
The Role
As a Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, processing orders, preparing quotations, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service while dealing with customer enquiries and orders.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and online enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Accurately enter customer orders onto company databases and CRM systems.
- Provide quotations for all AMS products and services.
- Process card payments over the telephone.
- Maintain accurate customer records and job information.
- Use company ordering, routing, and management systems effectively.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Support colleagues and undertake additional duties within your skills and competency when required.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous sales and customer service experience.
- Has an excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills.
- Can work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
- Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Has a good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Is confident learning and using bespoke software systems.
- Works well as part of a team and supports colleagues when needed.
- Has experience or knowledge of the waste management, construction, aggregates, or related industries (desirable but not essential).
