Summary

Spreads, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete to specified textures. Uses basic math skills including geometry, trigonometry to make calculations for work. Can complete difficult job tasks according to job specifications with minimal or no supervision.

Essential Functions

1. Reads and studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
2. Selects and transports appropriate materials and tools for job.
3. Measures boards, timbers, plywood or other materials using a square, tape and/or ruler and marks cutting lines on material.
4. Signals concrete deliverer via hand signals and verbal communication to position truck for pouring concrete.
5. Places discharge chutes onto spout of truck and moves the chute to direct the concrete into the form.
6. Spreads concrete into sections of form using specified tools.
7. Levels the concrete to specified depth using specified tools.
8. Shapes and finishes surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools.
9. Removes debris form freshly poured concrete by hand.
10. Places anchor bolts in specified locations in freshly poured concrete.

Required Education and Experience:

1. Minimum Four years' experience in Concrete work.
2. NCCER Industrial Concrete Finisher Certification strongly desired.
3. Must pass our in-house Concrete Finisher Assessment Test

Preferred Education and Experience

1. High School or GED preferred but not required.
2. Trade School program preferred but not required.
