River Bend Consulting is a small close-knit construction consulting firm who is seeking a full-time scheduler to work in our Bend, Oregon office. Our firm provides Primavera P6 scheduling services for contractors who have won projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers and other DOD agencies. The majority of our projects are located on military bases across the country and include large structures, bridges, roads and dams; so a clean background is mandatory. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, highly organized team player who is able to prioritize and toggle back-and-forth between multiple complex contracts. As a team, we collaborate on all projects, but individually have our own contracts that we manage. You must be able to stay organized and on-task, with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. This is a construction project management position in which you will be guiding contractors through the complex, rigid requirements that come with all government construction contracts. Experience in management level roles with onsite construction duties is required. You will be working from our Bend, OR office using web conferencing software, and you will be taught sound scheduling best practices and comprehension to offer advice and give input to our customers. We have grown from a handful of clients to over 50 over the last 9 years and are looking for that perfect person to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of construction projects in Primavera P6.
  • Support clients and their staff in construction scheduling, RMS support, submittals, preconstruction plans development, preparation of technical bid proposals, and other functions of project management.
  • Analyze contractual commitments, client specifications, design changes and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.
  • Assess schedule durations, cost loading, activity coding and Work Breakdown Structures.
  • Produce reports as required to support project needs, ensure schedule-coding structure supports management reporting requirements.
  • Perform time impact analyses for modifications.
  • Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Conduct planning and coordination meetings as required to support planning and monitoring functions. Research and assist in the planning and growth of the company.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of company website and marketing materials.
  • Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects and ensure that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy.
  • Minimal travel of 2-3 days per month may be required on a project by project basis as well as 1-2 weeks per year touring job sites and meeting with clients.


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of construction experience in onsite management level positions.
  • USACE RMS 3.0 or QCS Experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Employee must pass a Background Investigation, access to Military Bases will be a must.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 year College Degree in an applicable field (Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, etc.)
  • AACE International, Technician or Professional Certification.
  • 2+ years of scheduling in Primavera P6 desired.
